And this all brings
me to you.
As an entrepreneur, I know there’s nothing more frustrating than having a vision or solution you want to bring into the world… but not knowing how to communicate it in a way that others “get” and take action on.
From The Laptop Of CEO Jennifer Hudye.
Where it all began.
In a family of brilliant entrepreneurs I was the only one who decided to step away from the path of working in the family business that had been around for 35+ years.
While I was a business management/entrepreneurship student at Arizona State University it became my mission to prove to myself and my family that I could create my own path as an entrepreneur.
So while all my friends were out partying after class and on the weekends… I was staying up late bootstrapping my new business.
I was a group fitness instructor and personal trainer on the side and loved helping women get in shape physically and mentally… so I started a side hustle helping women through online fitness programs I created.
I poured thousands of dollars into building out the course. I brought in a videographer for professional videos, got fancy PDFs made, and a stylish logo created. Flawless.
There was a part of me that was concerned about really marketing my course because I didn’t want to come across as pushy or salesy. So I figured if I created a world-class course… the women who needed it would somehow “find it.” “Build it and they will come.” That’s what I learned in one of my college marketing classes anyways.
Boy, was I wrong.
I wondered where my dream customers were. It kinda felt like I decided to host a party, but no one showed up.
“Maybe it’s the course. Yeah, it definitely needs to be tweaked. Maybe I should redo it,” I thought.
I had less than 18 months to get the course selling before I graduated, and I was starting to worry.
Before I dove into rebuilding it I decided to go for a walk. I listened to a new podcast on this concept called “direct response marketing.”
As I was listening to the podcast, one of the hosts talked about this term called “copywriting” and how it was the single most important skill you must learn if you want to sell yourself online.
As I was listening to the episode, I literally stopped in my tracks and had one of those “Holy Sh*t!” moments.
All of the “marketing” I’d created (if I could even call it that) was focused on me and my product… instead of focusing on my ideal client and her pain points and desires.
I went home and started to devour direct response copywriting books and trainings so I could learn everything I needed to know on the topic.
To be honest… I was pretty intimidated. I grew up with a bit of dyslexia and never considered myself a writer. And at that point, I still cringed at the idea of “selling.”
I started to build my email list and delivered value to my subscribers every week.
A couple months passed, and I decided to launch my online course again. I had 300 people on my email list. My goal was to sell 30 courses at $147.
I ended up reaching that goal in less than 48 hours from just two emails.
As I grew my online business into a multi-six figure side hustle while in college, other people in my industry started to take notice. They asked if I could help them write copy for their marketing campaigns.
I discovered there were many other entrepreneurs that wanted to create their marketing in a way that felt authentic, was value-driven, and converted.
I decided to take side projects here and there until it turned into a full-time business in 2015 that I named Conscious Copy & Co., which soon became the leading copywriting and training company in the online business space.
Fast forward 5+ years, and my team and I have written copy and worked with some of the industry’s celebrities, including people like Joe Polish, Brendon Burchard, Cameron Herold, Sally Hogshead, Eben Pagan Training, Bulletproof Coffee, Allison Maslan International, Billy Gene is Marketing, and many others.
I’ve spoken at some of the biggest industry events, including Traffic & Conversion and the Digital Agency Expo in Madison Square Garden. I even got invited to co-host what is known as the World’s Greatest Copywriting Panel at the Genius Network Annual Event in 2019, alongside copywriting legends like Paris Lampropoulos, Brian Kurtz, Craig Clemmens, John Carlton, Richard Vigurie, and Joe Polish.

Having the pieces come together so that our prospects, clients and team have a seamless experience in all areas of the business is amazing to be a part of! I love how it allows people to focus on what’s really important in their business.
“I do not regret the things I’ve done but those I did not do.”
I love to travel and my passport is one of my favorite possessions. I’ve been to 26 states, 16 countries (Europe 10 times!) and know way too many airport abbreviation codes by memory. I’m always thinking of where I want to go next!
I am a natural problem solver with a deep desire to help people. I get jazzed about helping people see the solutions that will give them the business growth and success that they truly want.

I have a huge passion for design as well as hospitality. I have a property that I rehabbed and designed where I host Airbnb that has earned the highest 5 star reviews since it started.
For me, writing is the ability to capture scenes, sensations, thoughts, and beliefs mid-act, and imprint them on the page to be wandered upon, questioned, and felt again.
Fall in love everyday: with people, places, ideas, moments, and sensations.
I spent a year studying abroad in Spain where I studied Spanish intensively, traveled to cities all over Europe, met new people, sipped on glasses of vino, ate delicious Spanish tapas, and met the amor de mi vida who is now my husband!
I love making a difference in others’ lives by amplifying their dreams.
Don’t be afraid to get your hands dirty, it’s therapeutic. Life’s a garden, dig it!
I study Permaculture and regenerative farming for fun and built an abundant food forest in my backyard.
Each client’s story offers a special, behind-the-scenes glimpse into their unrestrained creativity. Hearing them speak so passionately about their dreams never fails to fuel my own inspiration and motivate me to dig deeper and think bigger.

In high school, I was that kid that seemed to never be paying attention. Seemingly in my own world of doodles and drawings. I’ve had a pencil in my hand since I was in diapers. Things never change… I’m no longer in diapers though.
I love helping people grow their businesses and live their dreams.
Be excellent to each other.
Experienced totality (full lunar eclipse) in the middle of a farm field in western Oregon with my wife, son, and dog. It’s one of the happiest and most incredible moments I’ve ever experienced.
Being able to help entrepreneurs sell with authenticity and integrity so they can have a greater impact, help more people, and create the lives they’ve always wanted is why I got into marketing and copywriting. When you’re doing those things, what’s not to love?

I once made my 7th grade teacher tear up by reading a poem I wrote about Pop Tarts out loud to our class.
I love working on the other side of the business process, doing the parts of business that are essential, but that people don’t often see. I love working with things from the ground up, updating processes, websites and the overall ‘tech side’ of things!
Be open-minded, work hard, and always live your life as an adventure.
I have a twin sister! We are fraternal but you would never know it by looking at us!
I love to organize and keep the daily flow smooth. I thrive on the little details that assist in creating the bigger picture! Supporting a team that genuinely cares about each other and their clients is so amazing and drives me to be my best self.
Ditch your self-limiting beliefs.
I LOVE music festivals. I’ve gone to Coachella every year since 2012 and have traveled internationally for festivals.

I love that I can collaborate and work behind the scene with our team while everyone is busy with the client-facing aspects of the business.

I am an outdoor enthusiast. I've been on long outdoor trips just hiking, tramping, spelunking, and bouldering - living off my gear and whatever I can fit in my backpack.
Writers give me their heart, time, and vision when they submit something to me, which can be a completely vulnerable process. But the magic is already there on the page. To help mold their work into the best version of itself? There’s nothing better.

A library is considered to be a collection of 1,000+ books. So… I guess I’m half way there!
